Breaker Status Data Type

The BreakerStatus data type is one of the measurement components in the network model. Each BreakerStatus defines a component of an input signal that contains the information regarding the state of a specified breaker. In many cases, the same signal may carry information regarding several different breakers and therefore several different BreakerStatus definitions will be required for that signal. The BreakerStatus data type assumes that each bit in the input signal contains information about a different breaker. Therefore, both the input signal (or measurement key) as well as the bit of interest must be defined in order to retrieve the actual breaker status from the input signals themselves. The BreakerStatus record has properties for the INetworkDescribable interface as well as five important properties that define its behavior. These are outlined in the following table:

UniqueId Uid Guid A statistically unique identifier for the instance of the BreakerStatus data type. Lazily instantiated.
InternalID ID Integer A non-zero, positive, integer, unique identifier for the instance of the BreakerStatus data type.
Number Number Integer A non-zero, positive integer non-unique descriptor for the instance of the BreakerStatus data type.
Name Name String A non-unique name descriptor for the instance of the BreakerStatus data type.
Description Description String A non-unique description for the instance of the BreakerStatus data type.
IsEnabled Enabled Boolean A flag which whether the behavior of the BreakerStatus is either enabled or disabled. A disabled BreakerStatus will not respond to new inputs or affect the state of the network components.
Value Status Boolean A Boolean flag indicating whether the bit of interest was high or not. This is intended to be a read-only property but can be used to set the initial state of the signal. However, upon first receiving input, this value is overwritten.
Key Key String A string value used to uniquely identify the input signal which contains the information (bits) with the states of the breakers.
BitPosition Bit BreakerStatusBit The designated bit of interested. Defined based on SEL convention. (16 bits available with PSV64 being LSB).
ParentCircuit-BreakerID ParentCircuit-Breaker Integer The InternalId of the CircuitBreaker for which the instance of the BreakerStatus contains a state signal mapping of.
